Jovanović at the 10th Regional Security Coordination Conference in Skopje
State Secretary Jovanović emphasized that stability, security, and prosperity in the Western Balkans are of common interest to both the region and the European Union. She underlined that regional cooperation is one of Serbia’s key foreign policy priorities and a prerequisite for long-term stability and development. She particularly highlighted the important role of the Regional Cooperation Council as a central platform for fostering regional connectivity and promoting concrete forms of collaboration across the Western Balkans.
“Regional cooperation is not only a political priority but also a practical tool for strengthening trust, stability, and development. Serbia will continue to actively contribute to initiatives that enhance the resilience and security of our region,” Jovanović stated.
The State Secretary particularly underlined the importance of further developing the Common Regional Market as one of the key components of the Berlin Process and the Regional Cooperation Council framework. She noted that this initiative contributes to deeper economic integration, the free movement of goods, services, capital, and people, as well as to bringing the region closer to the European Union.
