Đurić confers with the Foreign Minister of Suriname in New York

On the margins of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation of the Republic of Suriname, Melvin Bouva.

In their discussions on bilateral relations between Serbia and Suriname, the two ministers agreed that the two countries hold significant potential for advancing economic cooperation, as well as cooperation in the fields of agriculture, the food industry, and information technology.

Minister Đurić underlined the importance of strengthening political dialogue and realizing high-level and top-level visits. Referring to cooperation between the two foreign ministries, he conveyed Serbia’s interest in holding political consultations.

During today’s meeting, Minister Đurić expressed satisfaction with Suriname’s confirmed participation in the Specialized Expo 2027, emphasizing Serbia’s anticipation of welcoming representatives of this South American country to Belgrade.
