Political relations

Political relations are friendly and are based on the tradition of cooperation that existed within the Non-Aligned Movement. The SFRY strongly supported the struggle of São Tomé and Príncipe for independence.

Former First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić met with the then MFA of Sao Tome and Principe E. Pint on the margins of the inauguration of the new president of Brazil, on 1 January 2019.

 

Economic relations

There was no registered trade exchange in 2020.

Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Federal Executive Council of the SFRY Assembly and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe
