Political relations

The relations of Serbia and Turkmenistan are good and friendly, without any open issues. Both sides express interest in exchanging visits and more frequent meetings between officials of the two countries.

Economic relations

Economic cooperation is modest and based on trade in goods. In 2020 the total trade in goods amounted to approximately 6.06 million US dollars, with Serbian exports amounting to 90 thousand US dollars and imports to 5.97 million US dollars. During 2019 trade in goods amounted to only 457 thousand US dollars, with Serbia exporting goods to the amount of 400 thousand US dollars, while imports were at 57 thousand US dollars.

Serbia mainly exports edible fruit saplings, frozen raspberries and blackberries and, to an extent, furniture to Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan nearly exclusively exports cotton and textile products to Serbia.

Bilateral agreements

There are no signed bilateral agreements between the Republic of Serbia and Turkmenistan, thus the formation of a contractual basis between the two states is a priority.
