Washington: Đurić with Congresswoman Manning

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the United States of America, Marko Đurić, spoke with Kathy Manning, the Democratic Representative of North Carolina and a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the US Congress.

In addition to discussing this year's great jubilee in Serbian-American relations and possible areas for further development of bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Đurić introduced Congresswoman Manning to the vaccination process in Serbia, plans for production and distribution of vaccines, and overall strengthening of the health sector in our country.

Đurić emphasized that, thanks to the timely and wise decisions of our highest leadership, and especially the personal commitment of President Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia had and still has as many as four types of vaccines available.

With the further strengthening of Serbia as the economic engine of the Balkans, Đurić underlined that among the priority goals and activities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia is the improvement of the information and communication technology sector as one of the dominant sectors in Serbia, and also one of the largest net exporters.

In that sense, he presented the key initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in terms of increasing the capacity of educational institutions for IT professionals, digitalization, innovation and creative industries as new development opportunities for Serbia, as well as areas of special focus of Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.

Ambassador Đurić invited Congresswoman Manning to join the Serbian Caucus in the House of Representatives of the US Congress, as well as to join the activities and events of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the United States in honor of the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
