The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Damjan Jović, who is on a visit to the Czech Republic, visited the cemetery and the Memorial Ossuary in Jindřichovice, where he laid a wreath on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and paid tribute to the fallen compatriots.

During the First World War, more than 7,100 Serbs perished in the Jindřichovice camp. Their mortal remains are preserved in the mausoleum erected during the reign of King Alexander I.

The site represents the largest concentration camp on the territory of Austria-Hungary, through which approximately 40,000 prisoners passed. The majority were Serbs, including both soldiers and civilians from the regions of Šumadija and Valjevo.
