Lecture by the Secretary-General to the Diplomatic Academy Participants

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dušan Kozarev, delivered another lecture today to participants of the Diplomatic Academy on the topic “Specificities of Chapter 35 in the Case of the Republic of Serbia – the Belgrade–Pristina Dialogue and Negotiation Experience,” as part of the course Foundations of the EU System and Policies, organized by the Ministry’s Diplomatic Academy.
The Secretary-General recalled the broader international context, the current situation, and the challenges faced by Serbs living in Serbia’s southern province, underscoring the obligation of consistent adherence to international law.
He placed particular emphasis on the specific features of the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of agreements reached within the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue, drawing on his extensive professional experience in the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, notably in his capacity as a member of the negotiating team and Secretary of the Negotiating Group for Chapter 35 in Serbia’s EU accession negotiations.
