02. Apr 2024.
As part of the marking of World Autism Awareness Day, at the initiative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York and under the auspices of the spouse of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tamara Vucic, "In a Different Key", a film by Caren Zucker and John Donvan, officially premiered at the Ilija Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade.

"In a Different Key" is a true achievement of artistic expression, portraying an authentic story that explores the world of autism through the prism of love, understanding and empathy.

The premiere event was held in the presence of distinguished guests, representatives of the media and numerous visitors, receiving an exceptional response and delighting the audience with its humane message.

The screening of the film was attended by a large number of parents with their children who exhibit symptoms from the autism spectrum, which gave this event an additional emotional dimension.

After the screening, the parents spent several hours together with the spouse of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tamara Vucic, who is continuously committed to this issue, as evidenced by her participation in a special event during the last session of the UN General Assembly on the topic "The Missing Billion in UHC: Children and persons with developmental delays and disabilities", which was held at the New York Public Library, organized by UNICEF, the World Health Organization and the non-governmental organization "Autism Speaks".

Owing to the cooperation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia with these organizations, Serbia became part of the CST-Caregiver Skill Training pilot project.
