Political consultations between Serbia and Switzerland

Political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation were held today in Belgrade, and on that occasion, determination was expressed for the improvement of political dialogue and the realization of meetings at the high and highest level.

Opinions were exchanged on the possibilities for intensifying economic cooperation, Serbia's investment potentials and on marking the 30th anniversary of Switzerland's development aid to our country.

Both sides expressed satisfaction that in 2020, despite the crisis, the total trade between the two countries increased.

The Swiss side expressed support for the European integration of Serbia and the entire region.

The importance of continuing cooperation in the field of digitalization and dual education was emphasized at the meeting.

Also, the continuation of political consultations next year was agreed upon and the date of the Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation was confirmed.

The Swiss delegation was led by the Assistant Secretary of State and Director for Eurasia, Ambassador Anna Ifkovits Horner, while the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia was led by the Acting Assistant Minister for Bilateral Cooperation, Vladimir Marić.
