Secretary General Kozarev Confers with the Ambassador of Mexico

The interlocutors reaffirmed the traditional friendship between the two countries and assessed that the marking of the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations represents an opportunity to define concrete steps toward their further enhancement. In this context, they pointed to the importance of intensifying political dialogue, as well as exchanges of visits at high and highest levels.

They also reviewed current bilateral and multilateral processes of mutual interest, while reflecting on the results achieved in the fields of culture and sports ahead of the forthcoming signing of cooperation agreements between the competent ministries. Particular emphasis was placed on opportunities for further strengthening cooperation in the areas of trade, agriculture, defense, high technologies, and education, including cooperation between the diplomatic academies of the two countries.

As part of the commemoration of this important anniversary in bilateral relations, the publication of a joint bilingual edition, as well as the issuance of a commemorative postage stamp, was announced.
