State Secretary Jovanović Meets with Congressmen Self and Subramanyam

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nevena Jovanović, met today in Belgrade with Congressmen Keith Self and Suhas Subramanyam to discuss bilateral relations between Serbia and the United States, as well as global issues and the current situation in the region.
State Secretary Jovanović underscored the importance of communication with representatives of the U.S. Congress, assessing it as an important component of political dialogue.
In conclusion, she informed her interlocutors about the exceptionally difficult position of the Serb population in Kosovo and Metohija and the increasingly frequent unilateral actions undertaken by Priština, emphasizing the necessity of ensuring the fundamental rights and security of the Serbian people.
