Đurić confers with Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Roberto Álvarez, on the margins of the 55th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, held in Antigua and Barbuda.

Minister Đurić expressed satisfaction with the fact that the bilateral relations between the two countries have lasted for over 110 years, underlining Serbia’s continued commitment to further strengthening these ties.

He highlighted the recent intensification of political dialogue and diversification of cooperation, emphasizing the importance of high-level visits. In this context, he extended an invitation to Minister Álvarez to visit Serbia.

Minister Đurić conveyed Serbia’s clear interest in deepening economic cooperation with the Dominican Republic.

On this occasion, Serbia’s top diplomat reiterated the invitation for the Dominican Republic to participate in the specialized international exhibition Expo 2027, to be held in Belgrade, expressing hope that a positive response would follow in the near future.
