Đurić confers with Foreign Minister of Grenada

On the margins of the 55th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States in Antigua and Barbuda, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, Export and Development of Grenada, Joseph Andall, with whom he discussed the further strengthening of political dialogue and economic cooperation.

Minister Đurić extended an invitation to his counterpart Mr. Andall to pay an official visit to Serbia, stating that such a visit would provide an additional impetus to the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude to Grenada for its principled position on the issue of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, emphasizing that through its stance, Grenada reaffirms its commitment to the fundamental principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Minister Đurić also conveyed Serbia’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Grenada within international organizations.

The meeting also included discussions on the potential for enhancing cooperation in the field of economy. Minister Đurić took the opportunity to thank Grenada for its decision to participate in the Specialized Expo Exhibition, assuring that Serbia will do its utmost to organize an Expo that will be remembered.

Furthermore, Minister Đurić invited Grenada to continue utilizing the scholarships available through the “World in Serbia” program and expressed Serbia’s willingness to accommodate Grenada’s needs in that area.
