Đurić: Gratitude to France for supporting Serbia’s European path

04. Dec 2025.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today, on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna, with the French Minister for Europe, Benjamin Haddad.

Minister Đurić noted that relations between Serbia and France are currently at an exceptionally prominent level and that cooperation across various fields continues to advance.

The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized that Serbia highly values France’s dedicated support on its European path, particularly with regard to the opening of Cluster 3. He stressed that the European Commission, in this year’s Progress Report, reiterated that Serbia is fully prepared to open this cluster—an assessment that further encourages Serbia’s efforts in the accession process.

Đurić also discussed with Minister Haddad the current situation concerning the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), as well as the efforts Serbia is undertaking to overcome the related challenges.
