Đurić Meets with Representatives of “ServiceNow”

During his stay in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić met with Nick Cicin, Vice President of “ServiceNow”.

ServiceNow is one of the world’s leading companies in developing cloud platforms and software solutions for automating business processes and workflows within organizations. Founded in 2004 in California, the company today employs 26,000 people and is recognized for its award-winning cloud technology enhanced by advanced artificial intelligence.

Minister Đurić presented Serbia as the second fastest-growing economy in Europe in 2024, with the ambition of becoming the continent’s growth leader this year, as well as the most dynamic and largest economy in the Western Balkans.

He underlined that Serbia aims to position itself as an industrial and technological innovation hub of the region, highlighting that within a short period four science-technology parks and one industrial-technology park have been established, along with 23 regional innovation start-up centers, 15 makers’ laboratories, and 14 innovation incubators, in addition to the creation of an Innovation Fund.

Emphasizing that economic cooperation between Serbia and the United States has been intensifying year after year, Minister Đurić expressed particular satisfaction that the United States stands out among other leading foreign investors due to the consistent trend of new, innovative high-tech companies establishing their presence and opening development centers in Serbia.

Speaking about the plans and organization of the international exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, the Minister invited representatives of ServiceNow to take an active role in the implementation of development projects within the preparations for this important event, and to contribute with their expertise and experience to further strengthen Serbia’s positioning on the maps of foreign investors.
