First DPM and MF Dačić met with departing Ambassador of Greece

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Serbia Ivica Dačić today received the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to the Republic of Serbia, Giorgos Diakofotakis.

In a cordial and open conversation, the head of Serbian diplomacy thanked the Greek ambassador for his engagement and personal commitment, good cooperation, and improvement of relations between the two countries during his mandate in Serbia, and wished him further career success.

Both officials expressed satisfaction that the first bilateral visit made by Minister Dačić in the new mandate was to the Republic of Greece, yet another sign of mutual readiness to intensify political dialogue and further comprehensive cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

They shared the opinion that the upcoming visit by the Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Fourth Session of the High Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Greece at the beginning of next year will further strengthen already excellent and intense bilateral relations. The issue of Kosovo and Metohija and other current international issues were also discussed.
