Meeting of Minister Đurić with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay

On the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano.

Minister Đurić conveyed Serbia’s readiness to further strengthen relations and cooperation with friendly Paraguay in all areas of mutual interest. He placed particular emphasis on the importance of advancing and intensifying political dialogue, extending an invitation to his colleague Ramírez Lezcano to visit Serbia.

The two ministers discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation in all fields of common interest.

Minister Đurić expressed gratitude to Paraguay for its support of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, underlining that the issue of Kosovo and Metohija is a matter of the highest national and state importance.

During today’s meeting, the foreign ministers of Serbia and Paraguay signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs on cooperation between their diplomatic academies.
