Minister Đurić visits the Royal Elcano Institute in Madrid
After signing the Guest Book, Minister Đurić emphasized that it was both an honor and a privilege to visit this distinguished think tank dedicated to the study and analysis of international relations, which plays an important role in understanding global challenges and shaping constructive approaches to contemporary international affairs.
At the meeting, which marked the opening of the Institute’s new academic year, Minister Đurić held discussions with Director Charles Powell and his associates on current geopolitical issues, as well as on the positions of Serbia and Spain on the international stage and the upcoming significant anniversaries in bilateral relations between the two countries.
Addressing the Institute’s experts, the Serbian Foreign Minister spoke about Serbia’s foreign policy and its bilateral relations with Spain. He underlined that Serbia’s foreign policy priorities are clearly defined and complementary to national priorities in the domestic sphere, focusing on the preservation of political, social, and economic stability, the independence and sovereignty of foreign and domestic policy, the further development of the economy, and the safeguarding of the identity, culture, and traditions of the Serbian people.
Minister Đurić also reflected on key regional issues, stressing the importance of regional stability. He expressed his gratitude to Spain for its consistent support on matters of the greatest national importance and Serbia’s foreign policy orientation, namely Kosovo and Metohija and European integration.
