Serbia and Lithuania on possibilities for strengthening bilateral cooperation

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nemanja Starović, received a delegation of the Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Western Balkan Countries of the Lithuanian Parliament, which is on an official visit to Serbia, led by the Deputy Head of the Group, Audronius Ažubalis.

During the visit of Lithuanian parliamentarians to Serbia, for the first time in thirty years, the European integration of the Republic of Serbia was discussed, as well as the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, regional cooperation and opportunities for improving political dialogue at all levels.

The Lithuanian side expressed readiness to share its experiences in the process of European integration, for which State Secretary Starović thanked them.

Starović also informed his Lithuanian interlocutors about Serbia's efforts on the path to full membership in the European Union and the results achieved so far in that process, as well as about Serbia's commitment to regional cooperation and initiatives such as the "Open Balkans".
