Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Republic of Serbia consistently upholds respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all Member States of the United Nations, as well as full adherence to the Charter of the United Nations and the fundamental norms of public international law.

Guided by the conviction that all outstanding issues must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, dialogue, and within internationally accepted rules, Serbia attaches particular importance to mutual support among states in safeguarding these principles.

In this context, the Republic of Serbia recalls that the unlawful unilateral secession of Kosovo and Metohija created a dangerous precedent that continues to generate destabilizing consequences for the global order, not only in Europe but also in Africa and other regions of the world.

Proceeding from these principled positions and in a spirit of mutual respect, the Republic of Serbia expresses its full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and encourages all efforts aimed at preserving peace, stability, and inclusive political dialogue.
