Political relations

The SFRY recognized the State of Palestine and established diplomatic relations earlier than many Arab countries. Modern bilateral relations are based on traditional friendship and mutual interest in cooperation. The First Vice President of the Republic of Serbia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić paid an official visit to Palestine on 5-7 January 2017. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine Riyad al-Maliki paid a visit to the Republic of Serbia on 8-9 January 2020.

 

Economic relations

In 2020, the export of the Republic of Serbia amounted to 1.228 million euros, and there were no imports.

 

Bilateral agreements

Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine on Political Consultations.

The contract entered into force: 9 June 2015

Memorandum on Cooperation in the Fields of Youth and Sports between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia and the High Council for Youth and Sports of the State of Palestine.

The contract was signed on: 9 January 2020
