Political relations

In addition to close cooperation between SFRY and the Republic of Peru within the Non-Aligned Movement, the business operations of Energoprojekt in Peru also had a favourable impact on the relations. Republic of Serbia and Republic of Peru share interest in strengthening political dialogue and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

On 2 July 2019, the then First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić paid a visit to the Republic of Peru.

 

Economic relations

In 2020 exports amounted to 3.9 million euros and imports to 4.6 million euros. In 2019, the exports worth 1.96 million euros and imports worth 1.97 million euros were realized.

 

Bilateral agreements

  • Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, signed on 6 October 1971 (The Official Gazette No. 6/76—Annex);
  • Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the Republic of Peru, signed on 3 October 1980 (International Treaties No. 3/1985);
  • Agreement between the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Government of the Republic of Peru on the Abolition of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports of the FRY and Holders of Diplomatic or Special Passports of the Republic of Peru, signed on 9 October 2002 (Official Gazette of the FRY No. 2/2003—International Treaties)
