Minister Selaković signed the book of condolence for the President of the UAE

Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selaković signed the book of condolences opened on the occasion of the death of the President of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a sincere friend of the Serbian people. During his rule, our two countries saw a significant improvement in bilateral relations and had established frameworks for further development of overall cooperation,” Minister Selaković wrote.

Minister Selaković stated that the Sheikh would be remembered as a ruler who was always with his people, for launching numerous initiatives, especially in relation to the environment, as well as for establishing the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in 2007, which had provided assistance to more than seventy countries. “I am positive that the UAE will continue on the path of prosperity, which was trodden by the father of the nation, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his son, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” Minister Selaković wrote, emphasising that Serbia was empathising with the friendly people of the UAE.

The book of condolences has been opened at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, and Minister Selaković was welcomed by Ambassador Mubarak Al Daheri.
