  Visa-free regime does not apply to holders of passports of the Republic of Serbia issued by the Ministry of the Interior Affairs - Coordination Administration

 

ENTRY AND EXIT FROM THE COUNTRY  
Entry to Vatican City State is not allowed for foreign citizens, except for the employees in institutions of the Holy See and Management of the Vatican City State, the Catholic clergy and representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited to the Holy See (with official legitimation issued by the State secretary of the Holy See and the Management of  the Vatican City State) and members of state delegacies during the official bilateral visits.
At the same time, general exemptions are visits to the St. Peter’s Square, Vatican museums and gardens, as well as to summer Papal residence at the Castel Gandolfo, which requires online ticket purchase and adhering to all epidemiological measures that are in force in Italy.
Entry into St. Peter's Basilica is possible, under certain conditions that are determined by the Pope's program, Mass and other events, as well as the application of epidemiological measures that are in force to protect against the Covid-19 virus. Entry in other three Papal basilicas St. John Lateran, St. Mary the Great and St. Paul, who are outside the Vatican, in Rome, and have extraterritorial status, is free.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Vatican does not have a consular department due to uniqueness of the Vatican City State, and therefore of our diplomatic mission. Hence, all persons in need of consular assistance are referred to the Consular department of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Rome, Italy.
